I just had a missed call from this number too. I tried calling back but the call got cut off each time. I run a business so I was ringing back. I'm glad I saw this and thank goodness for the 'block' button

Scam - Claiming to be federal police seeking money from business to "work on a big project".

Got a call from these guys regarding "Street Smart Magazine" is a scam. They always use different magazine names and try to pressure you into signing up for this or making you feel bad if you don't. DO NOT sign up for this as you are just throwing your money away. These calls often come in waves and will get several other people calling in the same week. Just block the numbers. I have over 60 blocked numbers in my phone from these types of scams.

Received a call from this number. Asking to support the local police station. When I ask, what type of support they need, the answer was $800.
No thank you.

Called and left no message. When I calle back, immediately went to voice mail. I googled the number and of course reached this site to find it's been complained about quite alot.

Called claiming to be from the Blue Light Association asking for money. I rung the BLA and they had no idea. Reported to Scamwatch

They just called me, claimed they were looking for sponsors for a book to be sent home to local secondary schools to warn parents about the dangers of drug abuse. Reported to Vic Police

Call me on 0402 970 518 and 0402 969 428 but I missed both calls when I call back no answer

Called me 2 years in a row asking for me to give money to have my buisness logo in a book that goes out to all the policemen in my area? Was very odd so I asked for an email with the information and it didn't look legit either. Blocked the number from then on!

Called up saying they where the federal police
then hung up very odd

Missed the call, didn't leave a message. When I rang back it is almost an instant hang up, I rang three times and same response every time.
This would suggest marketing of some description.
