Ringing me 3 times a day claiming to be AusPol and asking for $330 for an advert in the Streetsmart Handbook. I've rung the real AusPol and they say these people are scammers and are investigating it. I'm tired of blocking all the numbers they call me from. They seem to have a never ending supply of phone numbers. Their false ABN number differs from the real AusPol ABN by just 1 digit. The fakers ABN is 83146901797 and the real AusPol ABN is 86146901797. So if you're in any doubt about who is asking you for money, the first thing you can check is the ABN numbers and then report them to Scamwatch on 1300 795 995.

I have been scammed by The volunteer association. Countrywide Austral Pty Ltd. Paid them $385 for advertising

This time these mofos called me from a Blocked Number. Some young bloke started the call with "Hi mate how're you going". Very professional! NOT. All I heard was "calling from Victoria Police" and I started paying attention. I thought it was a customer at first. He had my business name and number. I asked them where they got my number from. He stuttered a bit and then said it's from "a list". I wish I had Googled this page when I was on the phone. Definite scam asking me to advertise and pay. I said I cannot afford it. He told me I wouldn't have to pay until end of June.. Hahaa! Yeah right.. Watch out for these guys.

I am in the same situation they said if i dont pay $990 they will send it to debt collector so i don,t know what to do. i told them i haven't sign any contract and i am not the owner of the business and they said i have to pay some sort of moni to them because i said yes to their email that they send and i said it can be anyone sending the email to agree.
they wont stop calling me to pay!!!

This company has been chasing me for the last 2 years. Threating garnishee orders and the lot. Its a scam. Do not feel threatened by them, they cant to anything to you. Just ignore emails and block the numbers they call you off. Received an email today again ( first one in the last 4 months)

I just a got a call from 0434 569 354 Aussie bloke sounded very legit. He knew exactly what he was talking about. Pretty much all the same as above, I agreed to donate! Haven't given out my details yet but now worried it is all a scam and they will come and harasses me for money.

Ringing at least once a day, pretending to be the Federal Police. Now they have threatened to get a debt collector after me. A guy named Dewey Sloan even said 'I won't stop calling' when I asked him nicely to please leave us alone!!

iTS ALL A SCAM WITH A SLIGHTLY LEGIT EDGE THEY DO PRODUCE A BOOKLET THAT SCHOOLS WILL NOT DISTRIBUTE AS IT IS NOT GOVERNMENT APPROVED . IGNORE THEIR THREATS THEY CANT DO ANYTHING TO GET YOUR MONEY DONT GIVE THEM A CENT

They sent a debt collection agency after me. I rang ASIC as this agency is in liquidation, they gave me the contact details of the court appointed liquidator and contacted him direct.

They are harassing me to pay at the moment, when they rang and said they were federal police I felt pushed into it. I explained to them I'm a single mum with 4 kids. Almost immediately following that call I received more from Ambulance and Fire and emergency services wanting the same thing.

Got 15 mins of claiming to be helping a kids program in school against drugs and a part of the AusPol program. He got my number from the web as I advertise. Mobile number also. Got the same routine about 3 years ago and he got aggressive when I wanted more info. They are trying to get advertising for their mag. Stay away.

UGH!! I got one of these calls the other day on a different number. Usual spiel about Tas Police and helping youth then wanting to put me down for a $330 donation. Hahahaha, Yeah right, I'm not that stupid

Guy called Charlie rang today about streetsmart handbook for Tasmania Police.. talked for while then asked for donation.. he could not tell me where he got my number from as it is not advertised anywhere??? SUSS

Supposedly from Auspol, asking for donations. Mentioned relevant suburb to try and coax more information from me. Rang Auspol and confirmed they've never heard of this person named 'Gary'. They let me know lots of people have already called in to see if it was legit. They're currently investigating.
