They called me and when I began to get impatient with the stupidity of their understanding they hung up on me. When I called back the same guy answered and gave me an excuse stating that phone calls automatically and every 10 minutes.
Lol total joke.

I'll echo every other persons comments on here. Dunn & Bradstreet, overseas callcentre. Even when you give them your details right at the beginning of the call, they still request to get them again. Seriously dodgy practice not required by any other firm that I know of?

Agree with all of the above - happens to me quite a bit. Belongs to the bastards at Dunn & Bradstreet - debt collectors for Centrelink.
NOTE: This is 1 of several numbers they use - it seems when you block 1 number they try to contact you on yet another number!! They don't leave a message, you try and call back and get an automated message (no disclosing who it is) and get placed in a cue - when you do get to speak to someone invariably you get someone you don't know and can't understand asking you to disclose personal information (DOB, address, etc.). Then they put the hard sell on committing to a 'payment plan' and threaten all sorts of things when you don't. Absolute bastards - they haven't yet worked out that most people won't answer phone calls of numbers they don't recognize and most people also won't hand over money to people they don't know. (I don't do either). Morons!!!!

Yep all of the above, however first they told me I owed AUD46,000 to Centre link, calling from a Melbourne number, than a gold coast number calls now i owe Centrelink AUD3640.00.. When I ask to speak to a supervisor I get, that is not possible mam. The only reason why I am even answering these numbers is because I'm waiting on call backs from jobs... They have copped some f's and Sh*ts from me, but now I just ask them what the cricket score is, and then ask them do they know what a truck sounds like reversing... BEEP, BEEP, BEEP

They have rung with foreign accent asking to speak to me (first name only). I ask what it's in regards to...they reply with I need to confirm my details...D.O.B., address etc. before they can tell me so I hang up. No genuine government agency would ever do that. Spam!

Dunn & Bradstreet debt collection. This number keeps ringing me, however, disconnects on pick-up. When I try to call back I'm placed in a queue advising that this call will be recorded but given no indication as to whom the caller is. On receiving their letter I realised that I had a small debt with the Department of Human Services that was due 3 weeks ago.

Yes I have received the same dodgy practice. Not announcing who they are, leave a mobile phone no with no message and when you ring back they dont announce who they are on the recorded message. Very sneaky and underhanded.
