I keep getting called by 0402 899 854 and when I answer they hang up.

Tell you that you have a debt. Wont tell you what it is but demand your private information.
I asked to contact me in writing but they refused.

Yes D&B. Centrelink made an error on my file and told me I owed $4k. I have sorted it out with Centrelink but D&B keep calling me for the money. I told them it's sorted and they need to work it out with their client and they said they have no way of contacting them about specific debts. Contacting the Ombudsman now.

It is Dun & Bradstreet, they have called me using many other numbers and after reading this I once answered a private number where the guy said you have outstanding debt. I said well if ever i have had debt I have had a letter and they said they want to double check my privacy I said well if you are calling me you know who I am and I'm not going to give you my personal information until I recieve a letter. Since then I have recieved calls from different numbers and everytime I block a number they call me off a number that isnt blocked on my phone.

I have no debt but why answer after reading above?

similar number 0402 899 852, definitely D&B, I received an email a few days ago but related to FOXTEL. not Centrelink.

What's nonsensical about this caller is that it relates to centrelink debt. They should just not outsource this and call people directly.

Dunn and Bradstreet debt collection agency claiming to be calling from the Department of Human services. I have never even used any Centrelink help in my life and are claiming I owe a debt to them and they need all my personal details in order to do so. I have received calls from 0402 899 854, 0402 899 855, 0402 899 856, (03) 4216 0120 and a 1300 734 806.
I'm sure there are more to add to the list.

Dun & Bradstreet Debt Collection

A company called Dun and Bradstreet who message or call you saying it's an "urgent and important matter" and tell you they are collecting debt for an overpayment from Department of Human Services or other. If you call one of these government bodies or people they are "debt collecting" on behalf of, you'll soon find out it's a scam!

I apparently owe almost $700 on tolls, I don't drive, I believe these guys are full of it.

Apparently it is Dunn and bradstreet. Why would they call me at 8pm. Doesn't make sence

Text message followed by a call from Dunn and bradstreet I owed money for Telstra
and they wanted my details from me . I said send me a detailed invoice and I will look at it . Haven't heard back

So called D&B on behalf of Centrelink - asked for phone, Dob and previous addresses. Call from several mobile numbers. Scammers.

I keep receiving calls from various numbers, including this one. When I answer they hang up. When they leave a message they never actually use my first and last name but use my first and middle name which is strange. They claim I have an outstanding Centrelink dept which makes no sense as I have never received Centrelink. I also received a written letter from "Dun and Bradshore" saying I owed Centrelink over $2k and needed to pay them (D&B) immediatly so marched into a Centrelink office to have it confirmed that it's crap.

Have received one text:one to contact one to contact immediately on 1300 734 806 and quote as certain number! The other on 0402 899 854 was a call with "hang up leaving no message". I am suitably warned by the above and singularly unimpressed by an "indian sounding voice asking for my daughter's details"....another scam no doubt.

Had a few calls from this foreign gentleman, he will not tell me what it is in relation to until I verify who I am with name, dob, address etc.
I informed him I was not comfortable with giving out that information and put it in writing, he said he couldn't unless I provided my details - well I will block this number!!

This number 0402 889 854) called me and said they were the Department of Human Services. Was an Indian woman.

I just said "you have the wrong number" as i k ow very well that the Department of Human Services calls from a private or unknown number.

It is D&B. They should be reported to ACIC ACCC as their tactics are a direct breach of privacy laws and the ACCC ASIC Debt Collection Guidelines. Fred
