I called back the number 0402 349 523 and the lady on the other line said it's a private number

This phone number was the subject of 'spoofing' attack yesterday. It looks like us calling, but it isn't. By now the scammers will have moved on to some other poor suspecting sole. We are definitely an Australian based genuine business.

As the owner of this number I am advising that this number was 'spoofed' on 28/6/18. The number does genuinely belong to Exhausted Tipper Hire however for a period of time on 28/6/18 it appeared as if this number was calling random people and the 'spoofer' made it sound like the number calling was a scammer (usual Asian voice, advising of a personal injury claim etc - you know the drill). We have reported the incident to Scamwatch, Police and Telstra for further action. This number is a genuine business in Australia. We apologise to those who received these calls, however, this was completely out of our control. Please be on the alert as this can happen to ANYONE!
