There's a crook by the Steve Bell, claiming to be a Police Officer , I have done my research and have found out he represents a company called emergency media , I'm going to go to the papers - Herald sun & the age and make them aware of this as I'm sure they have ripped the business community off $$ thousands & we must put a stop to this !!

I had a call from and email from Robert Barnett as well. He told me about a police science journal and how i had been selected because my business is needed in their advertising because they don't have a similar one. He told me about the different levels and that all i had to do was accept the email. I then agreed by phone but had a hunch something was up. After searching his phone number and seeing all these posts, I am glad I did not pay anything. It nearly got me. I am quite a switched on person, so this scam had me going. He also said i did not have to pay anything until next year, so I thought that was great. We all need to think twice before we sign up to anything. Imagine the poor people scammed already :(

Absolute scam! They keep calling under different numbers claiming to be from the police journal. I have complained with the police and scam department and they are still operating even though the police know about the company. The lady that calls me is katrina on this number. She kept trying to convince me she isn't a scam! Block her and report it is the best you can do.

Caller: David Mitchell What’s wrong with our Government and it’s security it seems to be ok by them because if they were really concerned all they need to do is take the bank details and return the money back to the victims who have been scammed , the public will not have any trust in the police allowing scammers to fool people under their name…???????

I have been harrassed by people claiming to be from Aipol. They continue to call me from various numbers all within a minute apart if i dont answer and up to 6 times a day. They keep threatening dept collection but yet would keep extending the deadline. The lady who i have spoken to in the past goes by the nam vicki and she is a right bitch. I told them over and over again that i didnt sign up for there crap yet they dont listen. Now there saying that im the only one whos account is outstanding and they urge me to finalise the account. Complete scam.

Yep got calls from this number and a few other numbers. Person asked me if I was a business or residence (If you don't even know, why would you call?). Then they told me that if I was to advertise in this police journal, that I would be noticed by police, and they would "look after people that looked after them". Which would basically be a racketeering "protection" kind of thing anyway. I almost fell for it, but searched for the numbers he called from. When I told him that I was no longer interested because all his numbers were showing up on scam alerts, he got very defensive; with a "I want to know why?! why?!". Legit people don't behave like that. This could very well be an actual business that's registered etc, but it's definitely a scam, as any business advertising in this so called australasian police journal would get you no extra business whatsoever.

Just had a call from 0401 424 386. A guy called Rob selling advertising for some sort of police newsletter. The guys below seem to have better details. Rob spoke so quickly I'm still not sure what he was trying to sell me but it involved a gold, silver and bronze package ranging from $595 - $395, which he then discounted for me for reasons I don't know to $495 - $295. Don't know what he's selling but I ain't buying.

Just had a call from a guy ROBERT BARNETT saying he is from the AIPOL wanting to know if we want to post an ad in the police mag. It all sounds good but total SCAM. We have said no and he then called and would only talk to my partner and hung up on me. His numbers were 0423 367 854, 0403 261 289 and 0401 424 386 the same as Kylies.

Since listing our business on various free listings and local directors I have had this guy who goes by the name of Shane Blakley asking me to support the local Oxenford area by advertising in the AIPOL (Australian Institute of Policing) magazine for $395.00 for a business card size ad. I asked him to send me an email which came through within the hour complete with all the websites and Police logos for all states, including the AFP and ACCC.
Everything looked pretty legit. I did Google searches on "Emergency Media" which came up with a website, address and contact details which were the same as in the email I received. I also did a Google search on the email address "reply6 @ emergencymedia.com.au" which directed me to the same website. As I was still a little suspicious I did a Google search on the mobile numbers that came up in my mobile phone being 0401 424 386 and 0478 824 082 which lead me to this website which is the reason for my comment.
