Caller: "Telstra Technical Department"

Two phone calls today from the same woman: foreign accent, very hard to understand and became quite indignant when I didn't go along with her instructions - threatening to cut off our internet connection. Quite obvious it was a scam: 1. Telstra don't provide our internet connection - it's satellite with another provider - so they (Telstra) would never be ringing about a problem with it; 2. Genuine calls from Telstra don't come from mobile numbers! She rang back a few minutes after I hung up on her first call - which was from a different mobile number: 0499 039 274. Beware of calls from these numbers!!
