Supposedly a text from Chemist Warehouse but reading through the other comments for this number it looks dubious as some people say it is from Priceline or Terry White Chemists - seems like ePrescription data has been unlawfully accessed to be able to impersonate a pharmacy....

Caller: My local pharmacy This number is NOT a scam however the way it is set up makes it appear so. It appears to be an automated reminder service used by pharmacies to contact their customers.
I checked the ph number link in the sms here and it turns out to be my local pharmacy reminding me to get free flu vaccination.
With no identifying information in the sms I very nearly reported as a scam as I'm sure probably most people do. That's too bad, it seems like a good service.

Messaged me giving name of eye medication , date due and number of repeats left. Asked me to confirm by clicking link. Definite scam, but how did they gain access to my medications.

Caller: Chemist Warehouse 5 SMS from Chemist Warehouse listing suburbs near me. First two asking me to complete survey but no survey link sent. Then third with: This is confirmed, and our system was not hacked at all. However if you feel unsafe, you can skip the survey. Again, really sorry for all the confusion. Further included survey then last SMS (before I blocked the number) dubiously said: Apologies for the late introduce. I am intern in Chemist Warehouse Niddrie, and this is really for the study purpose of my master's degree.

Caller: Chemist Warehouse There was a text on my phone saying it was from The Social Research Centre and I had been selected for a study and I would receive a further link tonight, it had an 1800 to ring to opt out. I searched for the phone number 0400 253 287 online, to see who texted me. Its the Chemist Warehouse. After checking the number on Google, I checked my phone and I have other texts from that number from the Chemist Warehouse saying my scripts are ready to pick up. I received a further FOUR texts in the next 24 hours all with the same Social Research Study stuff in them and offering me a $15.00 Coles voucher for doing the survey. I WON'T click on links in texts on my phone, NOR WILL I RING A NUMBER TO OPT OUT using an 1800 number. I deleted all texts, plus another one that they sent me from a different number. This is SPAM and HARRASSMENT and I'm also on the do not call register.

Caller: Unknown Received a text message saying goodbye, but with no reference to a business she is supposedly leaving from. My workplace dose not send any kind of SMS’s in relation to retirement. A work email yes but not sms’s to our private numbers. “ message reads as below” “Hi *********,
After 22 years I have come to the hard decision to retire. It is the right time for me whilst I am fit and well enough to enjoy my family. It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to have been part of this very special community. I cant begin to tell you all, but I am leaving you in the very capable hands of my wonderful staff, I know they will continue to look after you all as we have done in the past. Thank you all so much for your friendships, loyalty, especially through the last couple of very challenging years. Love Jenny Opt-out reply STOP

Messager messages me by my first name, then states, "After 22years Have come to the hard decision to retire. It is the right time for me whilst I am fit and well enough to enjoy my family. I can't begin to tell you all, but I am leaving you in the very capable hands of my wonderful staff, I know they will continue to look after you all as we have done in the past. Love *****" Amazingly the name at the end that they claim to be is the same name as my spouse. The last bit is the bit that confirms its a SCAM.. It said "Opt-out reply...... STOP"

Caller: sms from 0400 253 287 "Your empagliflozin/m is due 04 Nov 21 5 rpts left. To confirm pickup click" and then a link with no identification of a particular pharmacy. Worryingly, this is medication I actually take. With the current avalanche of phone and sms scams, I refuse to load unknown apps or click on unfamiliar links. Most people know when their medication is running low and they take conventional steps to address it. Has the pharmaceutical industry's information been hacked? Or has some genius had a thought bubble? At any rate, now is a terrible time to click or share private information with unsolicited sms callers.
