Got a call from these people yesterday. I claimed I couldn't understand the guy that called me(I barely could anyway). He put me through to his female 'supervisor', her english was no better.
While telling them I was doing what they asked (as far as run>eventvwr etc) I started asking her questions about the origin of the report they claimed they got, exactly which version of Windows I was running, exactly which one of my computers had sent it and the big one HOW DID THEY GET MY PHONE NUMBER IF IT HAS NEVER BEEN ENTERED ON ANY OF MY SYSTEMS...
She could NOT answer any of these except where they got my number. It, and my name, came through with the report. I pointed out the above ask asked many times but always got the same scripted answer.

Finally I started asking basic technical questions like why they used the 'run' command instead of 'control panel', the error codes they got in the report. The woman asked me if I was a programmer or computer technician. I said I built my system myself.

She hung up.

Just had a call from Kate Wilson stating she is from QRPC online and she was very pushy.  She wanted me to go into "run" mode and she would tell me what was wrong with my computer.

I dont think so.

I have recieved 2 phonecalls from an indian lady claiming to be from QRPC, who advised me that my computer has a virus and is downloading unwanted programs. I asked her for her phone number, as I felt that this was a dodgy call, and she was extremely hestiant to give me her number and tried to persuade me to deal with this issue immediately with her. Advised her that I cannot deal with this at this current moment, and would like a phone number I can call back to further discuss it. The whole phone conversation sounded dodgy and have now come across two people who also have the same view as me. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE IN ANYWAY......

Surprise, surprise - I too have just experienced MOST of the above.. and the male  'Cure'  cold caller became quite annoyed when l asked very basic questions - Who are you, Why are you calling, Where are you calling from, How did you get my details,  When  and to Whom did l send my 'error report', and Which of my computers are you referring to... I then was connected to the Floor Supervisor - Kate Wilson. Whilst l began to follow her instructions and as l was l entering in the run and code commands, had an ah ha moment!   I asked her number and advised l may call back when l had confirmed her organisations identity... She  gave  me  (03) 9999 6986, l found your comments and that, my friends is that.

advised that computer Windows Pro system notified them we had downloaded unwanted programs and very dangerous material onto the computer. She wanted us to log onto computer and she would talk us through what to do.in your dreams lady

I have had two calls from Indian males who said that I had computer problems to which I replied that I dont think so and if I ever did I would call them..I had a call from an Indian woman who tried the same approach so I took the call and asked what was the place she was calling from and she replied that it was QRPC ONLINE and that she was in Melbourne. I asked where in Melbourne to which she replied that it was a personal question!! She could not give me a street in Melbourne where she was located. She did give me the phone number (03) 9999 6986..but to me it appeared that she had a problem forming a sentence of more that two words...by the way, she hung up on me!
