This is seemingly a Call centre cold calling to "we called you to discuss some great deals and offers for your electricity and gas account"

Please everyone - We cannot trust any cold calling these days whatsoever, as it can just as easily be scammers using any variety of fronts to hook consumers and gain trust, only to grab identifying information 'Identity Theft' or other suspicious/crimelike activity. Ask them to PERMANENTLY REMOVE your number from their system and associated systems. DO NOT answer your phone with your name or say YES/CONFIRM if they ask/provide your actual name. It can still be a bogus company or call.

Guy clearly calling from a call centre asked me if I was still selling a car. Definitely not genuine, he was probably just checking if the number was active and my age bracket, sex and language.

If you call back they have an opt-out option.

Called regarding discount on my gas/electricity bill for a property in a suburb that I don't live at...wanted to be passed onto the home owner. No.

when you ring them back a recorded message asks you to press one to talk to someone or press five to opt out they then confirm your number and opt you out

They have called repeatedly. I became suspicious when they repeatedly ask me to confirm that I lived at an address I have not lived at for a year. I don't trust them. They have called back three times in the last five hours. It is very annoying.

said they were from 'select an offer' upgrading their database of discount details for electricity users .. she asked what my discount was and that I qualified for $2000 discount on electricity bill.. don't know how they found the number they phoned - it is a work number not connected to any utility provider.

I keep having the number calling my phone all day , wonder how could we deal with this matter , could I report to police , seems every one has similar experience , can't understand what they after , as if you call back , no one even answer the call ..,
