Hey Scot,

This is absolutely a scam that has been doing the rounds in the USA, UK, and other countries. Add these numbers to your blocked caller list.

They ask you a question (e.g. "Is this Scott?". "Am I speaking to Scott?", "Can you hear me?") to which they want to record your voice saying "Yes".

This is then used as 'permission' to match with other details that relate to you, e.g. Credit Card, Bank Account, Electricity Account ... usually stolen or bought from someone who has unlawfully accessed your details. This is then used as evidence, gathered by telemarketing, that you have agreed to accept the services or charges.

Unexpected charges appear on your Credit Card Statement, or invoices are sent to you to pay, and then when you don't pay they begin sending demands for payment & late payment penalty notices as though they are legitimate. Do not pay! Contact the police and, if necessary, consult your lawyer.

Keep getting these calls.. As soon as I put them on my block list, they ring from another number..
