Scam called back number is disconnected

He said he was Sam and he knew my name, someone else was with me and I couldn’t hear him. He tried calling again but it showed a missed call and missed call message. I tried calling back and a message said the number was disconnected. A similar number has called on other occasions as well. LEAVE A BLOODY MESSAGE !!!!

Didn’t leave a message. Probably a scam. If I hear an Indian accent I wouldn’t give your details people. If Australian businesses are using overseas call centres then bad luck to them because I won’t be doing business with them.

Getting a number of calls lately from 03 9982 75xx. I didn't bother answering and they never leave a message. Another one blocked.

I just had a solar scammer call earlier on another 03 Melbourne number which asked for my name (I never give it , I said who are you? She started some bs solar rebate pitch so I hung up on her in mid with and blocked the number. I expect now this 2nd call is same lot trying on another number, that’s what they usually seem to do

This time I didn’t pick up so it went to voice mail and woman’s voice message was “hello hello hello “ that’s all No message, trying to get call picked up .
I really really hate these damn scammers .

Another day, another scammer. Anyone else notice more cold calling since we were required to check in with QR codes? Any truth to the rumor that the data has been given to these companies by the government for cash…?

Missed call but going by other messages it is probably a scam.

Called me on my mobile number asking for another family member. Supposedly free electricity monitoring device by Vic Govt???Thick Indian accent trying to fake a western accent with a western name. I hung up after calling them out as scammers.

Did not answer - no message left - see previous comments - number now blocked

Who calls on Melbourne Cup Day? Fed up with these numbers calling all the time and never leaving a message etc. Again, why doesn't the useless Government do something about these scammers?

Called me on my mobile and hung up when I answered. I seem to be getting more of these calls on mobile and land-line since signing up both on the "Do Not Call" register.....go figure

Like another caller, he said his name was Sam and he knew my name. As soon as he said 'solar panel scheme' I told him to go away and hung up. But I really should have asked how he knew my name...
