Text message ssid Ipsos and gave correct ABN. Said they would contact me in a few days for important govt survey. In view of other comments I will block the number. Thanks to all commenters.

Despite repeated blocking of this number (03) 9978 5254, they continue to attempt to call me. I did not sign up for nor agree to participate in any "research for the government" if that's what they are doing. I won't be answering & I agree that these nuisance calls are bullying & harassment & it looks like a complete scam!

The ABN and the name is as stated on ABR website. But who'se to say the phone number is legitimate? ABR website indicates business is in NSW but the phone number is Victorian landline. Beware.

Survey on tourism or something, didn't ask them to call me, blocked.

Three calls in 24 hours. Annoying. Don’t leave any message about what they want.

Got a text earlier this week and now a call from this number. Text says “This is Ipsos. In the coming days we will call to see if you can take part in an important study on behalf of a government agency.”
Web address (www.ipsos.com) shows Ipsos has bought Big Village.
Appears to be a marketing company. I didn’t answer.

Called me 4 times but I didn't pick up and they left me a text saying "This is Big Village (ABN 39 126 100 276). In the coming days we will call to see if you can take part in an important study on behalf of a government agency." 🙄. Block the number it's a spam

ABN search confirms Big Village is a marketing agency. Maybe not a scam, but possibly spam...

Scam

Called me on Friday night, saying it was for collecting travel statistics on behave of the government.

Caller: Big Village

Said they are a government body and conducting research on 'travel'. Said I would've received a text message a few days prior notifying me of the call (I hadn't received a text message). Call sounded like an older lady speaking. I hung up and blocked the call. 5/7/2023
