Continuous calls despite being on a DNCR and all calls going through to answering machine and remaining unanswered.

Have had many calls from this bunch; at least 3 today alone, all on a landline.
It would be great if we could block the calls on our landline.

I am tired of these people ringing me after 8pm in the evening. As I don't know the number I don't answer

I don't like to be rude to the people on the other end of these calls, so in order to hit the actual business where it counts (or try to), I answer the call then put my phone on mute. This way the company (hopefully) has to pay for the call, and I don't lose karma points for being rude.
Don't want your calls

I know, I dont care, all the excuses on earth do not account for falling and breaking a shoulder trying to get to phone just to have them hang up in your ear without saying a word or listening for a call for help!

Like many others, call over and over, even after answering first time. Am on the do not call, makes no difference. One 'don't call again' should be enough. For all you 'be polite' people, maybe you are healthy and not on a walker - try getting to a phone for nothing but nuisance calls, not much fun....

With mobiles, just add them to the auto reject list. Easy problem solved - they can call and get rejected without interruptting me. :-)

The caller said he was from Ipsis or Ipsus wanted answers to a survey about health and wellbeing. No way! Told him I don't know him or his company. Besides I am on th Do Not Call Register.

Quote from "A call made to carry out opinion-polling or market research is not a telemarketing call but some calls have more than one purpose. If a call contains any telemarketing elements such as a sales offer, advertisement or promotion, even if it is secondary to the main purpose of the call, then it is a ‘telemarketing call’ and must not be made to a number on the register. If this has happened to you and you are on the register you can lodge a complaint." end quote

These people often get numbers from times you enter competitions online. The ones where you can win a $200 voucher for Coles or Bunnings are a common way people end up with their number in this company's hands. They claim they are doing market research but if you answer a certain way they end up using the information to sell you other products. Very misleading if not deceitful. I would not mind doing market research if they paid me but I want an honest reason as to what the information is used for. You can ask to be never rung again though which is probably your best bet.

They have rung everyday including weekends. Told her politely not to ring back as I am on the do not call list. They must be hard of hearing as it didn't work.
