Caller: Wallis Market and Social Research It's indeed annoying! But it's not Wallis to be blamed - it's the government. The job Wallis does is totally lawful. They have the right to call you even if your number is in the "Do Not Call Register". In most of the European countries it's exactly the other way round from Australia. Companies like Wallis are only allowed to call you if you beforehand and in written agreed to receive calls from them. Customer protection in Australia is slightly different from the European Union.

I appreciate they have a job to do but when you multiply their one call by the other hundreds of calls begging for money, trying to sell products etc,etc.,etc.. it just gets over the top. Do Not Call register needs to be amended to stop these harassing calls.

Why do I now need to buy a phone from Telstra to stop unwanted callers when we have the 'Do not call register'? Another scam from Telstra. Well done on selling the product Mark.

Caller: Wallis Market and Social Research I called back the number back (03) 9940 2000 and it went to voice mail. IVR instructed to leave mobile number if you wish to be called back OR "Say that I don't want to be called back" and leave number and it will be removed from the database. This was done last week and I'm still receiving their calls multiple times daily. This has been ongoing 3 weeks now. I have blocked number on my phone and hope the calls STOP!

To Wallis Market and Social Research and everybody else that is calling continuously not matter what your reason. When I was single I was a wealthy man. Now My wife and children have almost bankrupted me. I now need to work until at least 70 years of age and make money for my old age retirement. I kindly beg you to please not to phone me anymore during work or after hours as I am trying to work at either my job or support the household so that I can survive. Many thanks, kind regards , yours sincerely.

Caller ID showed number as (03) 9940 2000. We did not recognise the number so did not answer. No message left. After reading above comments I'm glad we didn't pick up. I HATE these telemarketing/Survey Companies get rid of one and right more crop up ... it's like battling a hydra. The Do Not Call Register is bloody useless, there too many loopholes.

Quite polite overseas individual, asked to do a survey on behalf of Malvern City Council, about how often I travel into the CBD. She started to give the spiel and didn't take a breath for the first 60 seconds. I am on the do not call register. I asked to be removed from the list and not to be called back. It's sad the companies that require your mobile details for transactions feel no remorse about on-selling your details to telemarketers: there's no other way they could have my number.

Time wasters. Read their comments below and I DON'T CARE whether THEY THINK you they are legitimate or not and exempt from the 'Do not call' register or not. I do not, and never will have time for unsolicited calls. Now blocked on my phone.

Nonsense, how you going to conduct an anonymous surveys when you have the details of the person that you call. A legitimate anonymous surveys its conducted on the street, o by post without any barcode o information that can trace the person that participate on the survey.
