If this company is a legitimate business calling on behalf of govt and other public serving companies, why do they hang up on you when you answer?? It is INCREDIBLY rude and questionable how these guy think that it's ok to justify themselves on this forum. Clearly don't give any thought to the inconvenience they cause with their unsolicited calls.

If they are such a legitimate survey group why is it that they are so rude and hang up on their callers?? Guy hung up without identifying himself or the business. Just a nuisance calling on the weekend.

What sort of creep calls at nearly 8pm at night and whispers into the phone for ne to confirm my identity, and when I ask who you are and why you're calling me continues to say for 'privacy reasons you need to confirm your name before I can tell you' go f*ck yourself you slimey government creeps. Eat a big fat d*ck

This number has called me many times. It is invasive and pervasive. I shall spare you the abusive words here since Wallis you constantly scan this page. Really, why don’t you call people who want to be called? Ask questions to those who are willing to answer you. Or perhaps offer some people incentive to answer your questions, $5 per 10 minute questionnaires. You will get a richer data set and stop hurting your own brand. Your brand is hurting and I bet u will have to set up another company, change company name or hire a brand consultant to correct that for you a few years down the road…

If I get a call from an unknown number, unless the caller leave a message to identify themselves and explain the reason for calling, they will be classified a prank/scam call in my book.

Wallis Social Research claimed their work is VERY important. If so, why not leave your details and let the recipient decides whether to call you back or not? You would try to call each number only once, not 30 times after the first 29 have been 'missed? This is much more professional approach that a PROFESSIONAL company should be adopting.

Had a few calls from them. Every time I answered there would be silence and then they would hang up. The last time someone was actually on the other end. Decided to do their survey (on public transport apparently) and started answering a few questions. A couple of questions in, they said they had already filled their quota of my category of candidate (train users) and the survey wouldn't continue. Like any government funded survey, they most likely want the results to show what they need, and not what is accurate in the community. Fake, biased and a waste of time

Seems to be legit, the Department of Transport commissioned these guys recently to do a survey and I got a similar email saying the same from PTV. A shame though, they run an online version of the survey which is probably the more preferable way. Cold calling seems to be an old archaic way of doing things plus things often get lost in the ocean of scam calls out there.

I don't step into your house uninvited Wallis Market, so don't call into mine. I won't answer unsolicited call anyway.

I told the caller my number is on the 'do not call register' she didn't know what that is and wanted to continue the survey!

They are still at it. If you own an iPhone, this might help. When the phone starts ringing, tap the power button once to mute the call then tap it again, and this diverts it to message bank and they have to pay for the call. You only get a missed call message. Also block the number.
