Have been getting daily calls from this number, today I followed through with the call and was offered an iPad. I kept playing along with it until they tried 'updating' my details. The adress they had listed was in a town I've never lived. SCAM!

This number has been calling me everyday for a few weeks, when i answer it hangs up, today i answered and there was an Indian lady saying i am a VIP optus customer and they want to give me an IPAD 4 for $38, i told her ididnt believe she was from Optus and to stop calling me and if i want an ipad i will go to an Optus store!

This number has called me pretty much everyday for the last week always missed the call rang back once and Indian man named Miguel answered I then hung up before speaking to him if they really needed to talk to me they would have left a message

Same problems as everyone else already mentioned... Called the number back out of curiosity and got hung up on by "Neil" as soon as I said I keep getting calls from this number... Called back and pt a woman who tried to sell me the iPad again and I said for her to take me off the register and stop calling and she said that could take a few days then hung up...
I just spoke to optus who advise not to give out personal details blah blah blah and u advised them to look further into this problem as it reflects poorly on them... The lady I spoke to didn't seem overly bothered though

I too am getting calls from this number and when I answer they hang up. Is this a legit Optus caller or a scam?

This number calls me daily and whenever I answer, it's just blank (doesn't even have any background noise) so then I hang up on them. It's so annoying and if it is Optus, I don't recall allowing them to give my number out to third parties! VERY annoying!!!

I just called them them, to tell them to stop calling & hanging up on me twice a day. They say they are Carrier Telecommunications. I have left a message about being on the do not call register, & if they call again I will take it further.

ARGHHH, why call then hang up???? i'm an optus customer- optus need to have a chat to who ever they are using to sell their services as this is really back customer service!

They tried me today, hung up soon as I picked up. I found a few android apps you can use to block the number. I'm using "call control". It's free and works.

Hi. I had a call from this number. They already knew my full name (but asked if I had a middle name), and my address. He said he wanted to offer me a discount on my mobile for being a "valued customer" and also offer me an IPad 4. He stated that he could see that I had 2 mobile services with Optus (which is correct) and he needed to send me terms and conditions for the iPad to review. I was ok with this so gave him my email address. He then asked for my licence number for delivery of the iPad. I advised that I wasn't comfortable giving this information over the phone. He said he would call back in 15 minutes after I read the terms and conditions. . I got a call back in 5 minutes. I didn't answer, and no message was left. And I'm still waiting for this email. So to me, this definitely sounds like a scam. I'll be calling Optus in the morning to check my account, and to lodge a complaint, as I am concerned how this person has my personal details.

I get calls from this number at different times of the day and evening. Got told by Optus to use a App as they cant block calls. Trialing Avast Security filtering on it.

Like many others this number has called me everyday for almost a month! Also an Optus customer so it's obviously linked but god it's annoying surely there's some way to block this rubbish!
