It's Electricity Wizard, you go on their website to do a comparison and as you go to log out they say they will be in touch, they don't ask if you want to be contacted, they just say they will, too late they already have your details.

Fortunately, I put the number of my mobile broadband service in when I requested a quote - I have it redirected to It's Lenny (http://www.toao.net/595-lenny). They've tried ringing 3 times today already, hope they're enjoying the conversation.

These guys won't quit. I complained to consumer affairs but they won't do anything.

Yesterday I did a comparison on Electricity Wizard, and this number has harassed me ever since.

Yesterday I received 6 attempts between 2.30 and 5pm. They rang twice each attempt.

This morning. they called again, so I declined the call as I was at work, and they proceeded to call another 3 times immediately despite me rejecting every call. I have blocked the number now.

I understand why they want to follow up and see if they can help you, but this is borderline harassment. Call once, then try again a week later.

10 calls in less than 24 hours is crazy

They're not legit....they say they're from dif places constantly. Today it was Compare The Market....they're just scammer twits who can't get a real job

Keep calling - never went to any electriicity comparison website or gave my mobile number as mentioned above so they are random calling as well. Did you request a call back RE-cheaper electricity or gas? Then don’t complain, they’re just persistent. It’s all about the sale folks! They called me back 4hrs after I left my details, by which time I’d hooked up a better deal with AGL direct. And remember, Wizard only deal with a handful of suppliers , like I Select.

They called many times. I have never picked up strange numbers if do not know where they are from. Generally, I will google the numbers first to see if there are negative feedbacks on them before deciding whether to answer next time.

Same as all above. Unsolicited calls many times a day. Block one - another line dials in. My blocked calls list is HUGE......:if only I could block the no ID's!!!

Claiming is calling on behalf of Electricity Wizard company regarding the promotional plans about your energy bill. Funny though I’ve never inquired about any of their services. Blocked them ASAP.

I was trying to get a cheaper electricity retailer, so I (foolishly) gave my number. They might be semi-legitimate?? They have a few retailers that they act is middle men for. They seem to be a bit disorganised, so even after you tell them that random retailers are actually cheaper than the ones they represent, they call you back. I rang back and am hopefully off their list now.

During SE Qld floods I googled contact no. for our local elec suppliers (Energex), a 1300 number came up, I rang it, they pretended to be who I thought they were & took details (unfortunately I didn't check if legit URL as I usualy do). Since then I have recvd calls from this no. & soon realised that I was duped, but still lost valuable time in no contact with Energex. This number are scammers who are endangering people in real need.

It looks like it was Electricity Wizard too as I replied to their email today asking for a written quote. When they refused I hung up. now they start with repetitive calls on my mobile every day. HOW CAN THESE CRIMINALS BE STOPPED. Any idea ??
