This call came from Ringwood, Victoria. I had missed the call so I called the number back, only to hear a recorded voice telling my that their message bank was full. I strongly suspect it was a scam.

On 7th Nov 2023, I missed a phone call from (03) 9871 7449 and a recorded message was left claiming to be from the commonwealth bank fraud department and that there was a problem with a payment on my credit card. I was asked to ring back on 1300 409 361. It's obviously a scam. For starters I don't have any commonwealth bank accounts and at no point in the message was I named.

Caller: Recorded message This call showed as coming from Ringwood, Victoria. When I answered there were several seconds of silence, followed by a recorded male voice which told me that he was from Visa security and that my card had been used to pay $1099 for a gift card. If I considered the transaction to be fraudulent I should press button 1, or press button 2 if it was OK. Needless to say I just hung up. Same old scam.

Just got a call from an Indian dude who claimed he was calling from Telstra about my internet speed and wanting to fix it. There was a huge echo on my voice, he was delayed in his responses and rattled easily until he finally panicked and hung up.
I can see from other comments there’s a mix here of Visa and Telstra from the same number.
These wankers p*ss me off so much. Not to mention the scam texts I get in the middle of the night about a delivery coming with a dodgy link to click.

SCAM - Robot/machine called from the VISA fraud department saying that there was a suspicious transaction for over one thousand dollars. Said to Press 1 to accept the transaction or 2 to decline the transaction.

Caller: (03) 9871 7449 I received a ph call from this number claiming they were calling because my Visa card had been access and over a $1000 had been spent and to press 1 if it is me i just hung up Considering I don’t own a Visa card etc So I believe it is scammers.
I’m so sick off getting these types off ph calls it is becoming so annoying. If I were In charge I would load up all the scammer in a space rocket and send them on and uninhabited planet in space for ever they are rotten thieves without a conscience.

The caller knew my name and said someone was using my Visa Card. I don't have a Visa Card. tried calling back and found the voice mail box full............... scams. Why isn't Telstra disconnecting this number? Location was Ringwood Victoria.
