Hubby had this same one today on his mobile and I had one the other day on my mobile,it came up as a private number;when answered all i got was Chinese.

Left a message in Chinese on my answering machine and also on my partner's mobile. Have no clue what they want.

Keeps calling, taking Chinese, no idea what they want or do. Sounds all wrong

how do you get them to stop calling???

This number called my wife who got worried (she is Chinese). The number is connected to numerous free business registering websites to look more legitimate. A recorded message played, telling my wife that she has mail she needs to collect and that this is the last day she can collect it. Looks like a scam.

Googled it and it says the number is linked to the consulate-general of the people's republic of China in Melbourne. Don't know why they'd be scamming people, but they've called me a few times now.

Called me early in the morning. Left a recorded message in Chinese. It looks like an automated call, not a real person.

Chinese speaking automated call obviously a scam using the phone number for the Chinese Consulate in Toorak Victoria. My advice is to hang up and block the number

This number called my mobile and was speaking in an Asian language - I couldn’t understand a word so I hung up.

Called me early in the morning. Left a recorded message in Cantonese. What?

leaves a pre-recorded message in Chinese saying something about you having important information and needing to answer your phone.

yeah, sure. I'll answer.

Missed a call. Voicemail left which was a recorded message in Chinese. Called the number back. It's answered by a machine which says the number has been used by criminals for scam calls.

Got a few calls from this number, I called back and the person told me that they did not call.

This number keeps calling me and plays an automated message of Chinese talking and then replays
