This number calls with a recorded message in an Asian language, probably Cantonese or Mandarin - but I am not sure as I don't speak a word of these.
Almost certainly a spoofed caller ID with a criminal purpose.

A chinese recorded message was played, then hung up. Called me a few times. Number seems to be of Chinese Enbasy in Melbourne but a hakker?

Someone spoofing the Chinese consulate's number. Wish I spoke Chinese so I knew how this scam was supposed to work if no one understands them. My only theory is they're trying to make us mad at the Chinese.
