The number calls and you get automated voice message in Chinese, I asked for 2 dim sims and a spring roll but no delivery! No one answerers .(03) 9822 0604 I don't know what it is about unless just prank calling or seeing if my phone number is active for scammers

Caller: Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Melbourne - possibly

I got a missed call from (03) 9822 0604 a quick Google search after showing this site it showed that it was the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Melbourne. Not sure why they would be calling me, I'm not Chinese.
After reading the many messages here, it is without a doubt a scam piggy backing on the Chinese Consulate phone number or it's someone within the embassy that is a scam artist.

My phone call was also in an automated repetitive Asian language. They called on my restricted work mobile.

Miscalled my mobile, called back and it’s busy.. Also left me an empty voice message! Very Annoying!

It's a scam. They spoof the Chinese Consulate number and tell you have a package to be collected. They then try to collect personal details. The Chinese Embassy has issued a press release about it.

The same caller will use either 03 0r 02 prefix with several different numbers.

Its Chinese spies from China getting information of your Voice to replay back to access your voicemail and your other private data. DO NOT ANSWER, DO NOT SAY ANYTHING.
