ME Bank. Genuine - nothing to worry about. If you are an existing customer they may want to try to keep your custom by offering a better deal. To save ringing long distance ring on 131563 and ask them to put you through to the caller. If you have an account with MEB the caller will be noted on your file.

Caller: ME Bank I agree. They wanted to confirm details and I sent a message on their website to tell them they shouldn't be asking for personal details over the phone. As it turned out, they had all of the details already and just wanted confirmation. So I didn't have to tell them anything they didn't already know. Still a strange practice. Other banks do something similar but online after logging in.

Caller: a woman the caller id came up as "The Trustee for Maxis Securitisation", she said she was from "me bank" and before she got to far I told her that "I wouldn't be giving any details over the phone", to which she replied that she would send a message through internet banking

Caller: A guy Called me telling me that a disputed transaction from 01/09/21 has been resolved. As i, nor my family have disputed any transactions I have no idea what he was talking about. I wasn't rude but he could tell I wasn't buying his story either. He said he'd send a txt and he did. I still have zero idea of what he was talking about but it seems the number is legit.
