A Scam. Said he was calling from 'Telstra' and that there was an issue with my computer that had a virus which was affecting my internet usage. Asked me to press Windows Key and R so he could set up remote access. Kept him on the line and pretended that I was doing as he asked. Became very abusive. If you get a call from this number, simply hang up ... or if you're in the mood keep them on the line to really annoy the crap out of them.
I don't know how they are allowed to use an Australian phone number to do this.

Claimed to be calling from Telstra saying I had 'issues' with my computer. Asked me to click on the R and Windows Key to try and remote access into my computer. When he realised I was pretending to go along with it became very abusive. When I called the number back it was disconnected. If your going to scam me, then perhaps come up with a believable name! Moron!

Feels like a scam. The telltale delay then a misuse of the form of my name and a typically scam like start to the interaction. If this was a genuine call from Telstra then the callers are clearly untrained.
