just got a call from the guys pretending to be ANZ fraud department. number showing as melbourne victoria

SCAM!!! Called pretending to be ANZ and that my account had been hacked and to confirm lots of details and give him more. Hang up and block!

Scammer claiming to be from ANZ Bank

Tried to call me from 'ANZ'. Number looked legit. Guy had a UK accent said his name was Daniel, P.O.S. Got a text saying someone was trying to withdraw 5k form my account. He tried to get me a new CRN, new PIN etc. Hung up, calling ANZ now.

He kept calling me on this number and said I had 3 fraud transactions from UK.
He pretended to be investigating and said while I was on the call someone is trying to transfer money from my saving account so he asked me to create new account and transfer money over . Definitely scam DONT create any new account bank will never ask you to do that

Scam. Asked for my details and wanted to confirm if I did this fraudulent transaction in another state. I disconnected the call. ANZ confirmed scammers use their phone number to appear legitimate.

Caller: Matthew Charles from ANZ Headquarters

Called and introduced himself as an employee of ANZ. Advised they saw an unusual transaction on my bank account for $200.00 done from another Australian state. Asked for my full name and I hung up. Called ANZ and they said scammers use their phone number to pretend they are legitimate.

Called and was convincing being ANZ. Luckily ANZ caught the fraud in time before our accounts were drained by this person!!!!!

Bastards, tried to scam my 17 year old. Don't click on a link that is sent to confirm whether a particular transaction is unusual or not. The scammers will then call you to set up a new account to transfer your balance into, there and then. Ring the ANZ on 13 33 50 to make sure any fraudulent transactions are stopped.
