its a form of telstra marketing. under telecommunication laws you ARE allowed to receive communication from business you are already in partnership with (i.e.have phone/net/whatever with telstra) so therefore the Do Not Call register is irrelevant in this case.
Call Telstra marketing on 1800 039 059 and follow the voice prompts to make them stop calling you.
Hope this helps ease some frustration for people

This number called our home phone and we are registered on the do not call register. It rings 5 or 6 times but hangs up before I reach the phone. Grrr!

Sample complaints we have found for (03) 9655 0140

Called PCI (03) 8696 5000 and asked to be taken of calling list.Was ok about it and said it would take up to 24 hours to be taken off.Fingers crossed as i am so sick of this number calling me at least 4 times a day.

I don't understand why Telstra would be calling me or how they got my number, my mobile isn't even with Telstra it's with 3.

same heaps of calls etc when honed back recorded msg from pci found another number for pci (03) 8696 5000 phone this and ask to be removed..

Success at last.. Rang Telstra said "nuisance calls"..That put me through to a girl who was surprised to hear  it was one of their numbers. It came from their Telemarketing Call ctr. She quickly removed my number for all marketing calls. Said it would take up to 48 hrs to go through system.  Done?

today i had 6 calls on landline, they either hang up when i answer ,or no one at the end of the line, gets to message and no message, my number is a private no.also has gone to my mobile twice with the (03) 9655 0140 and 3 times coming up as a private no. all within about 5 mins of each call, my mobile is unlisted as well. is actually unnerving as my no. are unlisted for a reason.this has happened on other days as well .i am a telstra customer but my mobile isn,t. googled to try and work out who its and look at this website!! thanks for the advice.
