Their arrogant COMPLAINTS TEAM. I escalated a complaint to Energy/Water OMBUDSMAN and stated for AGL to respond via email, whereas AGL always try to entrap you by wanting to control/manipulate a phone conversation. ALWAYS require them to write/email their responses - that way you can hold them to their lies and weaselling excuses!!

Why do they call twice and don’t even have the professionalism to leave a message??

I have my phone set up not to answer unknown callers with so many scams. So if you are legitimate you won’t get me until you leave a message and I open your number.

Caller: No idea. Two phone calls in quick succession. Just a mumble - no coherent conversation. I hung up. Thursday 3 February

I had asked AGL to send me in writing the details of my current contract. So no response to the email but two hopeless phone calls. I only realised it was AGL by checking the phone number here.

Their arrogant COMPLAINTS TEAM. I escalated both my Gas ans Electricty complaint to Energy/Water OMBUDSMAN I've explicitly asked AGL to respond via email, they continue to call..... Do not answer they are arrogant controlling and try and push you into a smooth billing cycle which ends up costing you way more. my advice change providers ASAP

I found this as I had a very brief not entirely friendly call from manger in resolution team , I had a very hard time with AGL and a manager who was rude dismissive and hung up on me . I after that found my. Letter box open very Delbert someone trying to get to me , I don’t have mail sent to my physical address, because of safety and family violence. I noticed more then once and my support worker the letter box so I went closed it ,I found 2 letters from AGL . Scared horrified I rang them and hung up infurriated and scared , but I’m sick of running , I was given another manager to deal with many calls emails back and forth , he dismissed the very serious breach and stated they had to send a medical form and had no response, but I had spoken to multiple managers as they have clearance to talk to me as my account has extra security , they said they can’t control a third party going in my mail . I said but you can control your mail getting posted with my name on it and call or email me as you done and it was not just a medical document they sent . I was awarded wrongful disconnection of my gas , and they sent a letter stating amount id receive but new very well as phone contact and emails . I got half of it they held up giving it , then in credit no billgot a $200 gas bill in 2 weeks just me , I pleaded check the letter this is unstinted , Icountless emails calls to same guy and one other he said he would wipe it and then waited for me to email couple more times to do it , like a power trip . Nothing done and I have no idea whom went in my mail at that exact time , I spoke to police the night rang and hung up ,AGL called them , after 20 minutes the officer said your ok though, as in I have to go can’t listen to you all night . Been a few weeks no contact yesterday land line number in Melbourne called a man not Australian rang and left a message so fast and with accent hard , said who his was and call back between these hours . I’ve spoken to some very nice women and men there at their level . I believe the first call I had with a man there who tried to use his power over the credit I’d been given , I got upset he didn’t like it hung up , he interfered with payment next I know I’m getting half that was it ,even though I was told very Cleary by lovely guy there AGL do not give the credit the energy supplier do . I don’t sleep well as it is because my situation, stress has caused me to be unwell . So now they make a major stuff up won’t tell me who sent mail or why I got half a credit . You can’t make this up and I honestly think most days what next and shake my head in disbelief, you here about these things movies even . When you have been through what I have and people can dismiss you do easy , I am unsettled why is this man calling after weeks and my plead s and concerns dismissed . So I google lumber this came up first the an offical AGL site complaints then rubbish after that . No way I will call him back , my phone company has a speacial family violence line and other lines , I’ll search for one tomorrow at AGL . But this department was the one that delt with high risk clients ….. If you ever wonder why things happen people victims, know that often we speak out to everyone but not taken seriously…..

A survey popped up yesterday after I submitted my meter read. Today they called, and left a message saying that it's regarding the survey. Judging from all the other comments, no one really like them to call back. If they have anything to communicate back, they should consider by writing. Phone calls are intrusive, and so are the meter-read staff knocking your door every 3 months. Please wake up! This is 2024!

I suspect it's AGL like rest of complaints here. I have raised complaints with AGL and asked for email contact..not sure why I had missed call and a silent voicemail message left

On going dispute regarding solar not offsetting hot water. Ongoing. Each caller has a different story. Repeatedly request response in writing and phone transcripts. They’re happy to phone when you email but refuse to respond in writing, so beware, Arrogant, condescending overseas call center. Zero customer service. Reported to the ombudsman. Since change over in August 2021, if your meter hasn’t been entered into the new system run by Intellihub, good luck being paid.

I only, reside in a small 2 bedroom, cottage in Adelaide city. Use instant hot-water (Thermann 16 unit - 16ltr per min, 6.3 star rating). Also have a Braemar (TQ4X20 ducted but no zones - 4.7 star rating).

At the time of writing this, both units are less than 3 month old. Heating is on for max 3 hours per day. So you can imagine my sheer shock and dismay when I received my AGL gas bill for 38 days... $632.51

$16.64 per day. Phone AGL, and finally get to complaints Dept. Only to speak with some lady who simply wouldn't let me speak - kept talking over me. Anyway, 2x phone calls to me later from AGL, who, ring for 5 - 6 rings , then hang up.

Then send email saying they're terminating the complaint because they can not contact me... This phone isn't fake BUT AGL are dodgy as.

AGL complaints team calling despite repeatedly being told to contact via email only. AGL are the WORST electricity and gas provider out there, do NOT stay with them! Leave as soon as you can, they're completely hopeless and have no record or follow through on most of their phone calls. SWITCH.

Called my mobile three times in a row and then my landline.
Calls of such short duration that they could not be answered.
I do not deal with AGL and certainly do not owe them money.
