Caller: Scammer

Called me at 5:16pm on a Friday evening. I didn’t recognise the number so did not answer. There was no voicemail message left. Upon googling the number (‭(03) 9649 4909‬) I landed here and discovered it was a scam call. Have since blocked the number.

Long pause before calller responded to my hello. Claimed to be from AGL. Asked me to confirm my details which I didn't do.

Incoming call for 3 seconds - hung up as I answered. Will expect to receive scam text messages or calls now - given the comments above - but will block number

Picked up a call from this number. A guy with an Indian accent said that he was calling from AGL to offer better energy plans. After a couple of energy usage questions, he started to ask identity questions. I asked him to prove his call was legitimate. He then sent a text msg with AGL as the alias to my number with some links, pretending to be from AGL. 100% scam!!

Scam. Called me twice on 2 separate occasions. Didn’t leave a message. Alarming bells.

(03) 9649 4909. Called a few times over a few days, no message left. Called the number back and goes to AGL Anytime. Seems to be outbound calls to AGL customers offering energy plan reviews.

Caller: Scam

Called me multiple times, they left two voice messages.

First voice message - they put my voice message onto a hold line that gave no info, which played out until someone asked for me by name. Does not intro any company or explain any info. They hung up when they realised they were on my voice message.
Second voice message - silence and just a dial up tone with someone shuffling around in the background.

Blocked now.

Claimed money withdrawn from my account

Call received the female operator asked for me by name and claimed to be from AGL seeking to see if everything was OK regarding my gas service. I asked them never to call me again and hung up. Definitely a scam attempt - AGL claim they do not cold call customers.

No message so blocked number

Number called night before & I missed it. Number called again in the morning. I picked up & it was a terrible line but I could hear someone on the other end. I couldn't hear/understand them clearly so I hung up & blocked the number. They sounded foreign

Called 2 times twice, short missed calls on Friday and saturday. They say it's AGL but I don't have any services with them

3 calls in 2 days. Ignored all and no voice mail left. Blocked.

No message is left so block the number
