Pretending to be AGL, offering bill relief assistance. When questioned she got very defensive and argumentative. Definitely not AGL, I called them and they had no record of a call made to me.

Scammers! Just had a call from Travis with an Indian accent claiming to be from AGL re energy relief. They are scammers & sound very convincing. So Please be careful and DO NOT give them any personal details.

I got a call today but noone spoke so hung up I always check these number. I will never give information out. I don't even trust the cust service people that work at most places that I need to call. NEVER TRUST INBOUND CALLS call number to check.

I would like to know how these scammers got my information from AGL if they know I'm with AGL what other details do they have. Dues that mean AGL has been hacked. I'm not impressed.

Call your bank asap o stop any payments being transferred change your passwords

Apparently he was from AGL, wanted the number i was calling from, However when i said that you called me (My 84 yr old mums phone) he said it was to see if all our payments were correct. I had to think for a minute as i had just paid her Gas bill from AGL on line. I gave out the first 4 digits and then stopped and said , no thanks and hung up... Be very careful, they are clever bastards!

A guy called pretending that he is from AGL when I tried to call him back, the answer machine was directing me to AGL. Now on your page I found out that this us a scam, but I gave him many of my details what should I do

They called my mum at about 5:30 pm claiming to be from AGL. They knew my mother‘s name. I got on the call to ask for further information (I often have to translate for her), and once I did I was asked for my name. When I wouldn’t provide it I was told they couldn’t talk to me as I wasn’t the account holder. Given the hour and the reluctance to talk to me or tell me what the call was about I told them that we would call AGL at another time when it was appropriate. Checked my mum’s call log and she had had a previously missed call from them during the day.

Caller: Indian accent claimed to be A.G.L

New my name, wanted to talk me through a government energy relief scheme. Told him I didn't like cold calls and would contact A.G.L. Hang up!

'Mike' claimed to be from AGL. Wanted to help me claim a $600 govt. rebate. Sounded suspicious, so hung up, having given no details.

Claimed to be from AGL. Be very careful about calling the number back as it answers as AGL. AGL has confirmed it is not them

This number called after working hours did not leave number, most like scam

Claims to be AGL regarding energy bonus . Told them they had called 25 times and I had provided those details. I made up fictitious dates and times and said she could check those calls. She said she would need to confirm my details. I kept saying they are in front of you. No you don’t need them again because I confirmed with AGL a month ago that this is a scam call. When I kept repeating you have my details, she hung up

They even put the call on hold and played a recorded message that was actually the same as AGL use advertising there priducts

Scam caller! God I am soooooo sick of these!!! Every single damn day I get at least 3 or 4! How does this keep happening?! And why does it seem to be getting worse?! Is it Russia and/or China?! ...or is our country just now full of scum?!!

This is an Indian scam call centre spoofing a local number and pretending to be from AGL. They have no association with AGL. Please don’t give them any of your information.

This is a scam. AGL advise their customers of lolicybupdates via post and email (and their website). They do not call customers individually. They will not call to confirm customer eligibility for a discount. This is entirely on the customer to research and apply for. AGL use six digit 13 numbers, not random landline numbers from Melbourne. Please don’t fall for this scam call centre’s crap. They are likely based in India in Kolkata and are spoofing the phone number.
