Scammers called me with this number showing (dialling this number gets a "not connected" msg) claiming to be Telstra technical support, telling me I had viruses on my computer. Didn't have time today to try to better my PB of 37 minutes of keeping (why are they always Indian......?) scammer on line, so just told him to go and boil his head.

Tried to get access to my router quoting security messages and claiming gateway had become unsecured. Would not give example of message - "would show me". Confirmed my router was ADSL when I asked but in fact it is cable. Would be very convincing to the uninformed. I have had numerous calls from other numbers claiming to be from Telstra but this was the most convincing yet. Be warned.

Bloke ringing claiming to be from Telstra saying my internet will be cut off if I don’t resolve a matter, I’m not even with Telstra and when I explained that to him he said that every internet provider is through Telstra, just trying to access my computer SCAM! Don’t fall for this trick we always get calls from dodgy Indians claiming to be a computer technician
