Hi. I stayed in Frank Tate House for 1 year from the summer of 1986 to the summer of 1987 as an ITF (International Teaching Fellow). I enjoyed the view of my room which was quiet with lots of sunshine and chirping of birds in the trees. I remember the colorful flowers and the green grass which smelled good. Mrs Cockgreen, the Butler then, was very friendly and kind to us. Her husband and her drove us a long way to the Philips Island to be see the penguins. I will never forget them. I miss you, Frank Tate House!

Hi, I lived in Frank Tate House in 1961. I went to Melbourne University from there, taking the No 64 tram into the city. I remember the very formal High Tea on Sundays, and the early curfew. Girls used to climb in through the windows if they stayed out too late. It was a girls only hostel in 1961.

Lived at Frank Tate House in 1972 while doing my first year at Monash. It was a hostel for students on teaching student ships.. They were the days when uni was free.
