Caller: Credit Corp
This is Credit Corp - debt collection agency attempting to recover money by blowing out the phones of third parties that may or may not know the subject of the alledged debt.
They attempt to call parents, siblings, cousins, neighbours, work colleagues, anyone even remotely associated with the subject or their lives in the hope they can get to them. What they do is illegal, and they can safely be ignored.
When a bad debt is passed onto a debt collector, the agency purchases the debt for 10 to 20 cents in the dollar and then attempt to collect the FULL amount from the original borrower (plus interest).
However, what most people are unaware of is that once the debt has been purchased by a third party (in this case Credit Corp), the debt has been expunged for the original borrower, and that is the end of the matter. The only signature from the borrower is on a contract between the bank/credit provider and the borrower. There is no signed contract between a debt collector and the original borrower.
Therefore, do not admit or agree to anything a debt collector says on the phone, as they will attempt to trick you into entering into a contract with them (if you're the original borrower they are after) and try to get you on a 'payment plan'.
The statute of limitations means they can only chase you for a maximum of five years, but if you admit to anything or enter into agreement with them (even verbally), then that resets and you can be harangued another five years or until you've satisfied the needs of these vultures.
Your best bet is to avoid them like the plague, legally they have no clout. All they have is intimidation tactics on the phone. Weak!
i'm a credit collector and they're legally only allowed to call 3 times a week or 12 in a month, but that is IF YOU ANSWER. so answer the call & just hang up & they won't be able to call again

Caller: credit corp group It is credit corp group. They have called 3 times today already and they also use various other numbers including landline and mobile phone numbers. I have already spoken with them and explained that I am not the person they are looking for and I do not know the person they are looking for; but they will not leave me alone. I am so afraid of Credit Corp thug like intimidation and aggression. I know that Credit Corp Group has made such intimidation before including a barrage of calls to other people as well because I have been reading the comments left online from other people who also receive these threatening calls from Credit Corp Group. This horrible behaviour from credit corp is unacceptable and a criminal offence in Australia. Enforcement should be actioned to round up these credit corp thugs so we can live in freedom and not be scared of these Credit Corp thugs

Scammers! They called me on (03) 9448 2697 and rudely demanded I tell them my full name, address, date of birth and phone number without even saying hello. I refused their demand and when asked who was calling, they said they were a Sydney based company but wouldn't tell me who they were unless I said my name and provided all my personal details. Then they called back 20 minutes later and demanded the same thing. Are they complete f**kwits? Seriously, how stupid do they think people are. Definite scam. Blocked and reported to various authorities.

I received a scam hoax phone call from dodgy Credit Corp (03) 9448 2698 on my unlisted private phone number and they did not leave a message and when you ring the number back they will not disclose their organisations name so I blocked the number. The last time I had credit was 20 years ago. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) produces a Debt collection guideline for collectors & creditors https://www.accc.gov.au/publications/debt-collection-guideline-for-coll… Unnecessary or unduly frequent contacts may amount to undue harassment of a debtor. The ACCC recommends that you do not contact a debtor more than three times per week, or 10 times per month at most.
I have also received harassing phone calls from the dodgy Credit Corp from the following phone numbers:
