Specific representative Joy - calling from Energy Australia. Charged for service this month - August 2021 - for a service confirmed by the Australian wholesaler Ausnet as disconnected successfully in September 2019!! Final bill was sorted months ago but billing just magically started up again this month......

Caller: They called today and claimed they are from Energy Australia

This guy claimed he is calling from Energy Australia. He asked me to tell him my DOB. Then I asked him I can't tell you who you are and asked him to tell me the the service address he is talking about. Then he hang up.

Its a scam voice message claiming to be Amazon claiming I had made a $900 purchase and was told to press one to get a refund. You do this and you get put through to a scammer who tries to get your bank details to give you a refund. I managed to keep him on the line for 20 minutes pretending I was getting my bank details before he gave up.

Claimed to be Energy Australia. Man with thick accent said I had a credit. Asked for my credit card details. I don't have an Energy Australia account. Hung up on him.

I got a call from (03) 9422 2400 and the person claims they are from Energy Australia. I called Energy Australia and asked for confirmation that this was a legitimate number and they couldn't.

Not sure why they are being so unhelpful. This is not the first time I have received a call from someone claiming to be Energy Australia and asking me to re-confirm my credit card details.

Do not give your credit card details over the phone!

This is actually NOT a scam number, it is genuinely Energy Australia - I called back and they were trying to reach me about a previous enquiry I had made online.

Lady with an accent said she was from Energy Australia calling about my payment plan. I only answered the phone as it came up as a call from Eltham in Melbourne but it certainly wasn't an Australian call. She asked for my full name, address, date of birth. I asked her what this is about and she said it's about your payment plan. I said what about it, it's fine, I'm paying it, which is true and she said well I don't know that so I need your personal details to open your records. I said well why are you calling me then? She said it was about my payment plan again, so she was very vague. I do have a payment plan with them but I've never paid late. Wouldn't she have my records in front of her before calling? I said no I'm not giving you any personal details and she that's ok have a lovely day and hung up.

The old trick of calling then quickly hanging up so that they confirm your number is live and because you called them back you can't complain if you are on the Do Not Call Register.

It’s not a scam, this is actually energy Australia. I know because I had called them last week with a payment enquiry, the lady I spoke to arranged to call me back today to follow up, and she called back exactly as promised. It was the same last I had spoken to when I called, so obviously it was really them

This number (03) 9422 2400 is not Energy Australia. I have rung Energy Australia after I have got a phone call from this number and energy Australia said this is not them. It is a dangerous number. It might have installed a any malware on my phone. I am scared. Might need to reinstall the OS again to clear my phone.

I am a customer of Energy Australia and was just in a 'Chat' with them via their website about my account where I had to provide personal details (including my mobile number) before they would answer any of my queries. 5 minutes later this number is calling me ... makes me wonder who else has access to this chat and could also see my personal details. If it continues, Energy Australia will certainly be hearing from me ... and it wont be via this phone number!

Keeps ringing. Every call is ridiculous as they NEVER leave a voicemail. Who doesn't leave a message huh?? Definitely blocking this number!!! NOT even with this company!!!
