Its a group looking for active numbers if you answer or call back. They matched mine against AMX card address, then 10 min later I receive a call for OS trying to scam my Bank Account to make a one off overdue payment to AMX.

This is a scam!!! These people claim to be offering tax incentives but it is definitely a scam!!! Do not take their call.

Called and claimed to be with tax department recovery - scam just hang up.

missed call from this number on my mobile. I called back from a land line message states the number is not connected.

Didn't have my glasses on so didn't see number was interstate. I said I was painting and couldn't stop. She said I could, as I'd picked up the phone (more fool me!) so I hung up!!

If so many people have made this same comment, what are the telco's doing about releasing these numbers to these scammers. Something needs to be done to secures who is responsible enough to receive a phone number, maybe a point system of identification similar to that needed to open a bank account? When we connected our phone we only did so because we had young children and knew if they needed to call us they had access to do so, now 98% of our calls received on this line are unsolicited calls making us want to disconnect completely as we never pick up the phone anymore for this reason. Pick up your game telco providers!!!!

Called me tonight offering tax incentives, asked them where that got my number from and was told White Pages, it isn't listed do I said wrong answer and told them I'm not interested, guy was stunned I wasn't interested 😜

yep, same as above basically, hung up when I answered. Low life's. Number is now blocked arseholes.

This number claimed they were from "australian support program" and got my number from an entry form I filled out for a gift card. I have no recollection and they did not know my name.
