Caller: (03) 9392 8866 Criminal scammer

Idiot calls, no sound when I pick it up. Hangs up in a few seconds. Knowing this is a scammer who will call later on a different number I put the answering machine on. They only want to see if humans answer before letting the call centre waste time on it. Ok so later I called the number back and it said "number not in service". So some scumbag in Australia has rented a fake number to some overseas call centre to check if we are home and ready to get fraudulent calls. Are there any government agencies who give a damn? Or are they being paid off to allow this to happen? Need a full enquiry into this and I would get the Minister responsible thrown out for being corrupt and stupid.
