Said he was from the government and was calling about some scheme. Hung up straight away.

Caller: Call centre (probably overseas)

The call showed as coming from Melbourne, Victoria. There was a long period of silence after I answered the call, then came background noise of what was obviously a call centre. A heavily-accented man's voice began to speak, so I hung up before he was able to go any further. When I later called the number back, a recorded message told me that the number was not connected. Obviously some overseas group had hacked into Telstra's system somehow.

They just called again for the 2nd time.

I don't answer unknown numbers. Figure they'll leave me a message if it's actually for me. Blocked number.

A recorded call saying it’s calling from eBay that I’ve been charged over $300. Scam calls.

These villains just tried it on me. I did not pick up. Hope they get severe RSI.....to stop them dead in their tracks.

Claimed to be from Roy Morgan Research undertaking a post Covid lifestyle survey. When I asked where there office was in Sydney they hung up.

Picked up call and did usual phone greeting, and they just hanged up on me. Hmmm ... I guess they now know my name whoever they may be.
