I was with my Dad and he had it on speaker phone when they called. The call started with an auto dialer. They wanted Dad to provide his ID before telling him what the call was about.
They said they had sent him letters and text messages, but Dad checks the mail everyday. He is a business man, so he also knows how to use a mobile phone. They have not sent him anything at all.
Dad didn't give any information.
They said he was involved in some sort of incident. He can't think of any incident at all.

The girl was nice and almost convincing, but I wouldn't trust this number.
The things she said just did not add up.

I called back the number (03) 9320 0121 and reached vm that said I reached ARL

Got a random call one afternoon from MELBOURNE (03) and they were asking for someone under the same name as me. I said yes this is **** but no other details further.

They said I was involved in some sort of incident but I haven't been involved in any sort of thing for 3 years!
Told them I'm up to date and do not have any knowledge of such an incident.
The girl was nice and almost convincing, but when I asked what the incident was about she said she cannot "disclose" until I had confirmed my full name and residential address.
That's when I knew it was BS and refused to release such information. This concluded with the lady saying I can tell you're uncomfortable giving this information and instantly hung up. DEAD GIVEAWAY!

It's ARL. Debt collection agency. RACV use them. I found that they don't tell the truth about the legitimacy of the claim.

They mentioned my name and asked me for my details. I am paying off a debt from nrma but all payments are up to date. Told em I wasn’t comfortable giving information when they called me, they were polite and hung up after. CLAIMED TO BE NRMA.

They called me while I am driving and the phone call got through. The girls was sounds ok, but did not hear what is about. She asked my details and then she will let me know what about. She said she know my details and she would like to confirm. I said why did she tell me the infos then I confirm. She hang up. Not sure what is about.

They are legit. I knew I owed money from an accident from months back and it got passed onto ARL for debt collection, I had received texts, letters and a phone call from both the previous insurance company before it got referred to these dudes for further action lmao

This number called claiming to be chasing a claim from NRMA which isn’t a legitimate claim at all.

claimed to be NRMA but would not give any reason for the call until i confirmed points of ID.

Some shifty gronk calls and the first thing he said was “confirm your identity” Lek tfeh don’t answer this pig or any other debt collector.

Ever owed anyone money, they called the phone number which i didn't live there for almost 30 years.
