Caller: Aust Post Complaints - apparently

We're told to not answer unknown numbers. I don't answer the call
On this occasion it was Sobiya S from AustPost
Probably about WHY my parcel travelled from Sydney to Brisbane to Cairns to Brisbane and then to me 63K west of Brisbane.
They will follow up by email says I have received the package now. Case Closed. NO! WHY did it take a tour of Qld ????

Australia Post Complaints - Why is this seen as an unknown number? We are told to not answer unknown numbers so why don't they ID themselves, defies any logic. Needs fixing

They were calling about an enquiry I made online about missing item, unfortunately I could not answer in time & Vanessa left a message to advise she will send an email to answer my question. Now I have to await the email.

Calls only shortly before close of business, and hangs up after two rings. Sounds like australia post to me! They've left me a couple of voicemails regarding a complaint I've filed recently regarding a parcel being close to fifty days overdue.

Caller: Why Incompetent staff

Because after raised Jan 2022 when you complain to Austpost they have on form if you wish to have them call you or email.

But they ignore request to email, and telephone you instead. Then claim made contact. Shocking.

Caller: Hidden name unknown public master from Aust Post

At 4.46pm Thursday 28th April I lodged a letter at the Parafield Gardens Post Office to be sent to my brother in Elsternwick, Melbourne.

As nothing appeared to be happening according to the Aust Post website tracking section then on Sunday 1st May I enquired using the Aust Post site over the internet.

Nothing happened in any way.

At 12.49pm on the 3rd May Aust Post site electronically stamped that I had enquired again because the Aust Post web site records that the letter has been received at Parafield Gardens Post Office and nothing has happened since then. from the web site -

Received by our network
PARAFIELD GARDENS SA
Thu 28 Apr, 4.46pm

Again no response from Aust Post and nothing happening. I printed and signed another letter to go to my brother. I took the letter to the Parafield Gardens Post Office about 4.46 pm on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 and paid for ordinary postage to my brother and verbally advised a young man behind the counter that the Aust Post website showed the other letter as still being at that Post Office. He talked about being "missed", apparently just not electronically recorded.

At 11.16am on the 29th April I had left a note on the website that the people at Parafield Gardens are good people who try to serve in a good way. (I mentioned that they are much better than some previous Aust Post people who tried to burn the shopping centre down.)

At 10.10am this morning a corrupt text SMS advised about "following up your enquiry sent through" but AGAIN this is nothing to do with where the original letter is and if it is still at the Parafield Gardens Post Office. This "follow...up" of my complimentary words about the people shows what Aust Post and other organisations are like - loudly trumpeting about anything possibly good and an amazing silence about problems.

A phone call like this is also notable in being able to have different words claimed to have been said by the "authority" which is what happened to me in my previous employment - what was verbally said in meetings and sometimes over the phone amazingly (!) was different to the later written words claimed to have been said.

This has been a waste of time that I no longer have in my life. I will not constantly ring their number that the staff appear to be so time controlled about.

Ray d*cker.

I only know it's Australia Post because of Reverse Australia-because they hung up on me!!!!! I have two missing Australian postage items from January with tracking, that have disappeared from the earth and they told me to wait until the end of February to see if they can find them.
They are useless and have no integrity. They didn't even speak to me but hung up on me-but they will put a note on their system to say they have called me so the next person thinks it has been dealt with so they can delay and defer. A common practice for them.

Caller: auspost (found out by googling number)

like others I called back the number and went on the "press number" runaround.
Australia Post service has deteriorated over the years and continues to deteriorate.
My parcel was dumpped at a post office despite the delivery address label clearly stating if no-one home leave at rear of carport - maybe they cannot read clear English.
Item was left in the rain at front door, but was well packaged, so no harm done.
the excuse was driver was unwell but obviously not too unwell to dump it at the post office.

Complaints Contact - called me as I issued a complaint over lost item - they called to confirm they have definitely lost it - must go to the seller to get a refund - if they wont help then Aust Post said to call them back to get money back.
