Lifeblood notifying me that they will be in my area soon and would I be able to donate blood. A wonderful cause.

I answered the call but no one spoke anything on the other end and hung up after a few seconds.

Legit number/caller. I had an appointment I had to reschedule and this is the number they range me from

Caller: Australian Red Cross LifeBlood

Legitimate call from the Blood Bank, now known as Australian Red Cross Life Blood, wanting to book my next donation. All good!

I answered and said hello and they hung up

Have been a blood donor for over 40 years and really insulted if this is the depths the Blood Bank have sunk to.
Called the Blood Bank direct and all they could do was apologise. It’s a robo call like CentreLink and that idiot Clive Palmer developed by some genius (meant to be an insult) in Sydney. Of course. Just block the number and keep on donating (PLEASE) in the normal way.

I received a call from this number today. I couldn't answer. They left a message consisting of repeated machine-gun shots. Very scary!!!!

They did not leave a message. Blocked. Good bye

Didn't ring, sent a text message saying they would ring in the next few days about returning to donating blood.

I believe this is LifeBlood, but when I answered, no one said anything. Unsure why they are calling.

It is actually the Red Cross Life Blood centre. As a registered Donor I was sent a text advising me that they would be calling me. Unfortunately I was not available to take the call.

Appears to be Red Cross regarding Blood Donation.
Very frustrating as an operator only connects after the call is answered. You can hear the switch routing and there is a time delay connecting to the operator.
Based on this, it is a robot system conducting bulk calls.
Disappointing that an organisation like Red Cross conduct themselves this way....

I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, but I picked this one up. Said hello several times, no answer and they just hung up. Also, would have been nice if they didn't call after 5 pm.
