These people are relentless! They call my mobile Monday to Saturday for weeks at a time, then stop for a while and start calling again! I've told them I'm not interested and have asked them to stop calling! I've blocked them, but Optus send me a SMS to let me know!

I have sympathy with telemarketers, I did the job myself at one time. But what gets me down, like squeeky chalk on a blackboard, is the same company calling me four times in two days. I asked every one of the 4 callers to please remove my number, and was promised that it was done... just to be called about the same thing a couple of hours later. I am daycare for my 3 year old grandaughter, and to have her woken up twice on consecutive days during her afternoon nap....not on.

The caller didn't mention the company but indicated I had filled out a survey and they were calling me for a free hearing test. I never fill out surveys and nor do I visit this shopping. The guy suggested he send me a letter in the post confirming an appointment time after Christmas - and then asked me for my address! The number was an 03 number - all too suspicious.

calls every day without fail. f*cking wankers. Don't they get it when people just ignore their calls. They should be disenfranchised

Offering free hearing tests is a nice service, ....but kind of an odd thing to do with a phone call.... text messages would make more sense. Emails and letters would work too. Cold-calling to find the hearing-impaired kind of seems like sending letters to the blind.
Maybe this company could just get a list of old age homes and company reception numbers, or maybe try to work with hospitals and health services to find the right audiences, and the right way to communicate with them. Put out brochures at Dr's offices, try to find the person that can organise an all-staff or all-resident event.
But yeah, you can make it clear you aren't interested in whatever it is a telemarketer's selling without threatening them or otherwise acting like a ****

You are kidding yourself. I used to work for Cash converters and I know I did some things that were taking advantage of people. It will hit you one day that "being better than dole bluging" is a pathetic excuse. Most people on the dole don't want to be on the dole and it is not a bludge, it's horrible being so broke you need to go to a charity for food. As for the racist's, I am the opposite of racist and my son is half and half but I hate getting cold called from other countries and would never use or buy anything from a company that uses foreign call centers to save money. So be honest with yourself like I am and admit you did a job that is not cool. Legal sure but pathetic.

I know this number by now and I just delete it from the mobile. If in doubt I come here and look up the number. I never call them.
On my home phone I use an answering machine.Everyday there are 3 to 4 calls without a message . I know they are either Charities or someone wants to sell me something or a survey. If I make it to the phone while it still rings I wait for the message and if it is someone I know I pick up the phone and speak to the person.
for years i tried to convince my wife to let me get an answering machine but she always said I want to speak to people that call us. Eventually even she got sick of those unwanted call and now all I do is press a button a couple times a day and the answering machine memory is cleared again. beats getting annoyed.

This number has been calling me daily and twice daily for the past 5 weeks. Now that they have started to phone of a night and weekends I finally rang them back. I politely told them I was on the Do Not Call register and to promptly remove my number from their data base. The female said to ignore their calls as it would take 48 hours to take place. Hopefully problem solved!
