Caller: “Optus Billing Department” “Deanna from “Optus Billing Department” - sounded like a scam so I lied and said I’m not with Optus. I’d stupidly answered the phone as I was expecting a call (from Melbourne)
Optus don’t have any of my financials on file and I pay on time every month so have have zero reason to call me 🤷

Caller: Scam call from NBN Said that my internet will be disconnected and they will help me fix this. I played along and they asked me to download an app which is for remote access. They would have then gone ahead and used the app to access my banking details and any other info they needed access to.

Caller: Call Centre of my bank Suspicious activity on my Credit Card, but never once was able to tell me my bank or use my bank name during the conversation. Operator wanted me to type 1P address, etc. in my search browser. I discontinued the call at this point and advised I would attend my local branch to rectify this problem.
