I was recently duped in a phishing scam to get my credit card and phone number (in Bangladesh). This was for a "free" video streaming service for a car show. It still had a paywall to negotiate. There was no video stream, and a couple of small joining fees then appeared on my credit card. I've locked the credit card and the bank annulled the suspect charges. Next i get a phone call from a scammers operating number! Maybe my details have been onsold into the scammers world! You have to very carefull today. I'm tech savvy but still got ambushed!!

Caller: Victoria 9123 1099 I was recently scammed in a phishing technique, which needed my c/card and phone number to access a "free" video stream of a custom car show in Perth Aust. i quickly locked my credit card thru the banks webpage. However I later received a call from this suspect number. I think the original paywall scammers may downsell phone numbers to other dispicable scammers. Facebook posts of video streaming service are located in Bangladesh. Even though I'm tech savvy, you can still fall for the ambush!!!

This number is undoubtedly being used by fraud callers. I received call from what the lady told me is from Telstra, that they are receiving errors from my NBN internet in their main server. But my NBN connection is not from Telstra!. Even if it is from Telstra, they never ring you with such information. If you have any fault with your line, then you have to report it. So please beware from such fraudsters!

Caller: Said he was Peter from Telstra Peter (an Indian man) said he was calling from Telstra and that my internet was bouncing their network and needed to be stablised at my end. He insisted I download his app anydesk to allow him to correct my interferance to Telstra. I told him this was too hard for me to do and to send a technician out on a house call. Eventually he became angry and told me to F... off before hanging up. I doubt Telstra would ever condone such behavior.

Caller: I dont know Got call from this number today but didn’t answer it. Glad I came here. Now I know what that number is. I’ll answer next time and once they ask for my credit card, I’ll scream the hell out of them like I did recently with another, and they hung up on the spot. 😂 If the scammer is a woman? Sorry if a woman is reading this but I have no pity to scammers. What I’ll say to her will make her regret the call and not sleep that night.
