Caller: Commonwealth Bank (apparently) (03) 9123 1012 is obviously used by scammers with criminal intent. Why are these numbers not investigated by police and then shut down???

THE CALLER GAVE HIS NAME mICHAEL cOLE, AND AN id AT tELSTRA d352818. He was trying to tell that as a long standing Telstra customer I was eligible for discount on my Telstra service for the next six months. All I needed to do was to update my password, which I refused to do. He then used my mobile number which they knew to send me a six digit security number, and also gave me the support number at Telstra to check if the call was legitimate (132200). He then assed me over to a female colleague who continued the sales pitch. When she sent me a stupidly long and complicated web address to log into from my computer I hung up the call and called Telstra help line. The operator confirmed my suspicion it was a scam call. They are getting very sophisticaled tech wise in making themselves look credible with official sounding titles, using the same identity checking as Telstra and the 6 digit security codes which seem to come from Telstra. . I have had a call from the same guy before using the same ployand even quoting the address of the Telstra office in melbourne. I have reported the call to Scamwatch. Thjis site has confirmed the number is not legit and it was a scam call. Beware of Indian asoans offering you products and services from your IP.

Had this number come up in my missed call list a few time. Tried calling back but didn’t connect. Don’t understand why the providers can’t stop them using numbers that don’t belong to these pests specially if it’s coming from another country.. surely they can or could stop it if they wanted to put the effect in. Come on providers stop it at the source! Stop the use of your phone numbers….

She was going to show me 'in front of my eyes' how I was being 'interfered' with. I listened for as long as I could before telling her where to shove her scam.
