They told me the call was being recorded and to only answer questions with a yes or no answer. When I answered their bizarre questions with any words other than yes or no, she started yelling at me to just do as I was told and answer properly!

They called my mobile twice today. As I didn't recognise the number, I didn't answer. Do the same!

Caller: Call centre This is just one of eleven numbers I have blocked in the last six weeks. It all started when I signed up for an interim account on our rental property with AGL energy. Most unsolicited calls have been from other (off shore) callers selling energy but in the last two weeks ones like selling all manner of things have started. Scary that they have so much information on you, including address.
Got rid of home phone because 95% of calls were from call centres now they have our cell numbers.

Caller: "client services" Insurance sales call (second one for the day) - started off saying "we're recording for training purposes" - I told them to remove me from their list - given they have a recording of me now, they have no excuse of misunderstanding my intent!

Caller: Client Benefit Services Trying to sell Funeral Insurance but unable to explain any basic details about why I would need it or the concept of Superannuation (something that in my instance provides funeral insurance)

Number blocked now! Apparently calling from "Client Benefit Services" I asked who they are and how they got my info, completely ignored my question and kept saying just answer some questions and you can go in the draw to win some money. I asked for purpose of call and he replied "survey" to be able "pass onto his clients". I asked who's the clients. Don't know why I bothered because I usually don't pick up on numbers not in my phone list.
