Caller: Peter Mac charity scam

Peter Mac offer you a cancer screening kit as a ruse to give your details to a telemarketing company who then hit you up for a donation.

Disgrace.

Caller did not identify they were from CLEVER CONTACTS and engaged in fundraising on behalf of Peter Mac. Female caller said the call was in regards to a free Cancer guide I had requested via text from the Peter Mac Team. Caller took down my name & address to post guide to me and then attempted to solicit a monthly donation from me.

I am VERY annoyed by the underhanded means employed to obtain donations! I would NEVER have knowingly given my personal information to a fundraising company!

Consistently calling on a daily basis, mainly around 6pm Qld time. I never answer, check the number then block if necessary which I do daily as they keep calling from different numbers

Same here. I jave requiered a brochure, and the person - Grant - has called me and has asked me to give him Credit Card number or BSB so they can set up monthly donation payment on my behalf. He was really pushing the agenda. I felt like I was played for a dum. they used my emotions to get money from me. If the booklet is free then should be free.

what does it mean if my carer's name became red with a Social Profile with so many red letters of the alphabet with number like the name of the scammer that appear in the recent calls

I too sent a text about a cancer brochure. And have since been annoyed at the amount of calls from unknown numbers and no one leaves a message. Very upset about the dishonesty of this organisation

called back as I though it was someone I knew and got a voice message saying it was Clever Contacts

Numerous missed calls from this number and never a message left.
Annoying, sometimes twice a day.

Got a missed call - I have this spare phone to use for tv - no one has this number interesting - & they don’t leave a message joke fraudsters obviously

Clever, caller mentioned I had given my approval the support of a charity and I could be called to provide personal details, beware. She gave that line about this call being monitored for assurance purposes so it did sound authentic
