Scam message saying they are from the ATO and that if payment is not made I will be arrested....

Love these calls. I just tell them I will check when I get to work in the morning.
I then tell them I work at the ATO.
For some reason they hang up very fast :-)

Nobody on the line. Had a call from 9034 5138 earlier in the afternoon. Call back and get a message 'Optus advises that the mobile number you have dialled has been disconnected' even though it is coming from a landline?

Same as all others. Scammer. He left message saying I was going to be arrested for tax fraud. He's lucky he got my answering machine and not me

I had a call from this number to my mobile. The freaky thing is, I was on the ATO website doing my tax return on line at that exact moment! (I didn't answer the call)

Silent call

The ATO does not issue warrants for your arrest. Any unpaid tax you may have with them is a Civil not a Criminal issue, If there is any criminal activity, it is the Australian Federal Police that will handle it

First Time I called the one who answered stated he was in Melbourne.
Second time I called got someone different. He said he was in Canberra. Then stated he was in India. No he said. He stated he was elsewhere and he needed money for his family to eat.

They say they are from the ATO.

I have had this message, and also another from an 02 number with the same recorded message. I called back and said to him "Wow, you don't sound like your from the taxation office" and he said..."um yeah, ok bye bye"...amazing...scammers...so very over them.

Voice recording message saying they are from ATO and there is an outstanding debt and a warrant for an arrest has been made.

Getting the same recorded message as the others.
In case you're worried, the ATO will call you in person, not with a recorded message.

Called with recorded message saying ATO, outstanding debt, arrest warrant. If you ring the number back they answer ATO back it is a Scam.

Just received the call thsi morning - an arrest warrant have been put out for me unless I pay my taxes
