Is there an application to block phone numbers, ie. people selling things by ringing and not giving up ? I know I can put myself on the "DO NOT CALL LIST", but wouldn't it be helpful just to have an App. To do that ???

I can't take mobile calls while I'm working so rely on voice mail to get the calls I miss. These clowns just call and call ands call but never leave messages. Now I know it's Optus, they can get stuffed. If I want to buy a product, I'll go buy it. Get the hint and stop calling!!!

I received 2 calls in one day while I'm driving. Which is always (I'm a bloody truck driver). When I CAN answer there is no-one on the line. I cant be stopping to answer prank calls. This better not happen again or the ombusman will hear about it.

Following the info from here I rang Optus of whom I am a customer to enquire about this number. Very annoying as I get multiple calls between 9-10am daily. They lodges a formal compliant and are investigating but it does seem that it is a sales call to enquire about upgrading services. They acknowledged it is annoying and inconvenient and promptly took me off the list for unsolicited calls regarding this for the future at their own suggestion. So, pissed off about the nuisance calls but very glad to have sorted the issue. Hope this helps others

3 calls in 3 days all between 9-10am. Always hang up when I answer. Not happy!

If you have a Galaxy S3, There is a section in the call settings where you block numbers. I have ALL PRIVATE NUMBERS, and about 7 others in there, and whenever I get a call from any of them, all I get is a notification in my logs that I have a missed call. NO ringing or msg tones. It's a REALLY GOOD THING. :) :) :)

Optus call centre, they call me at least twice a day, every day for the past 3 weeks. When i answer there is no one these. I call them back, tell them that my number needs to be taken out of the sales data, but i'm still getting calls. I've just emailed a complaint direct to Optus.

Multiple calls per day usually 10am and 3pm. No message left. Hid my number and called back and got a recorded message. "thank you for calling Optus. To speak to sales call....to speak to customer service call...." then it disconnected my call. Oh the irony

Have received a call from these people once a day for the past 2 weeks. When they first hung up after I had answered, I no longer answer their calls as I prefer to just let my phone continue to ring so I can listen to 'Suspicious Minds' by Elvis. :-) Much more entertaining.
