Yes, almost exactly the same MO here - if you llok closely at the Tax Invoice, it clearly says "This is not a bill, you are not required to pay any money" at the top of the bill. I assume this is their way of avoiding some consumer laws that are in obvious breach with this practice. I am also subject to an attempted scam by a Peter Johnson of Police Guild (apparently) - seeking funds to support police games - no web page, no mobile phone, no idea!!

Received an invoice for $100 off from Statewise Emergency Response who we were supposed to have placed a add with. Why would a small business in SA advertise with a company either in Vic or Qld for that amount of money?

Yes. SCAM. Community care for kids is what they called me about. A publication for schools apparently. Here is a mobile number that handles the payment process 0435 724 433.

I have just reecieved a call to day offering discount of $100 if i pay by credit card from Statewise Emergency Response. Are they real? Can't seem to find any info apart from this blog. I cannot remember doing any advertising although i still get a couple a day ringing trying to get some advertising dollars for our Resort

I have had a similar experience, I received a phone call from 'Statewise Emergency Response' saying I had an overdue account for advertising (which I had no recollection of) and I was to pay $450. They emailed me an apparent invoice also offering $100 off if I paid the amount today. The phone number on the invoice is (03) 9028 2668 but the address says Robina, QLD. Clearly a scam!

This is the return number listed on an invoice we received from Community Care for Kids - requesting payment to Homeland Media in Robina QLD for payment of advertising which we did not request and appears to be an invoiceing scam.

We have received phoney invoices from Homeland Media. I think they are a scam. Statewise Emergency Services, and Community Care for Kids. Victorian phone number, which never gets answered. And we never see a copy of the supposed advertising.
