Report an unclaimed luggage and will arrest you if don't call back

scam leave you a voicemail saying you will get arrested if you dont call them back etc DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK.

Incoming number was masked as "MACQUARIE". Text received: "Macquarie: A login attempt was made from Wellington, NZ. If this was NOT you, please call us immediately on (03) 9018 6743".
No-one in my family has an account with any part of the Macquarie group.

I got an SMS telling me my Macquarie card had been accessed on a new device and if not me to call urgently call (03) 9018 6743. I looked up Macquarie bank and called there 1300 number as I have no account with them and they said the number wasn't theirs and confirmed nothing in my name in their system.

SMS said to call because a my Macquarie card was activated on a new device.... I don't have a Macquarie card. Assumed scam. Checked the number here.

I got the voice message saying that a low suitcase is getting filed under your name.....and ending with arrest warrant story. It is a fake call.

The call to me was 30/11/18 at 3.06pm and said "....(indistinct) Office. The reason behind call is that there is a law suit case that is getting filed under your name. The moment you receive this message I want you to get back to me on my department division number 3 90186743, I repeat 3 9018 6743. Now if we don't hear from you we have to issue arrest warrant in your name and get you arrested. So get back to me as soon as possible. Thank you."

If you call back the number hangs up immediately. It's s scam.

Was said to be ATO Audit department. Hung up immediately without waiting for any thing more

I rang once and got disconnected

This is an ATO scam, they claim you have criminal charges against your name and tell you to ring them back. They will then either try to get your details to clear up the mistake or get you to pay a bogus fine using gift cards.
