Yeah its a hoax don't know how they got my mobile no. Threatened that mails to me have been returned and to call them as its time sensitive or warrant for arrest will be issued. For a fact all calls from/to ato are 1300 numbers. Just ignore and laugh it off as I've already got my tax refund a while back

Received phone call from (03) 9018 5036 - it was recorded message saying i would be arrested for tax evasion - called back - keeping in mind that i pay my taxes - i provided a false name - he tried to get a credit card number off me - i told him that i didn't owe anything for tax - he exclaimed i didn't give him my proper name - he then provided my name (clever) - i told him he is a scammer - he told me to shut my mouth and hung up the phone

This was a recorded message but it started before the answering machine message had finished. I'm thinking it may be one of those tax hoaxes
